Welcome to this interactive map of the Sussex marine environment. Please use the layers and legend buttons at the top right of this page to explore its many interesting features.
You can find a wealth of different biodiversity, geodiversity and archaeological features off the coast of Sussex. The ‘marine conservation’ and ‘habitats and wrecks’ layers will give you more information about these.
The coastal waters off Sussex are also important for a range of economic activities, including fishing. You can find out more about this and the byelaws which regulate these activities in the ‘fishing layers’ and ‘marine byelaws layers’.
